It snowed today! Nothing is sticking, but the boys want to snowboard this winter and this has them excited...
Guess I better learn how to "board"! :)
Since the last post I mentioned being a yellow belt - I am happy to say I am now an orange belt! TKD has been great and I really enjoy attending it with my sons!
Well, hopefully I can actually add content here a bit more often...

Rainbows and yellow belts

Finally...you can see a rainbow over the area! The rains have lessened and waters are receding.
(it did rain yesterday and today...)
For those of you wondering about the floods...I have the 1st package of clothes from Renegade Style and will be handing them out personally this weekend.

A great day to have a great day!
My old baseball coach used to say that before every game. Of course he was talking about having a great day at the plate or on the mound...but I think it applies to everyday! You can decide to have a great day, you control your emotions and your reactions to what ever happens. Just decide to have great day!
It truely is a great day to have a great day!

Snow Pictures!

So here is a quick pic of the snow that has piled up on my street this year! Note - the vehicle is a full sized Chevy Tahoe!
Moving away from my continued rant on all the snow - I want to today say how much I HATE being sick. I nast strain of influenza A has struck and many fo my friends at work were hit with it. I was doing great until last Friday - that is when I went down as well. It sucks bad, every symptom listed on both Nyquil and Pepto Bismol together! No fun at all...

Are you kidding me?
So my last post was about more snow - guess what has happened here since then? That is right EVEN MORE SNOW! And the forecast for today? Yep - MORE SNOW! I have been using this more than I have been using these. If Iowa wasn;t so flat - perhaps I could have taought myself to snowboard and joined the Renegade SnowBoard team? We have found a decent hill for sledding and I was able to make it down without failing using a $10.00 plastic snowboard available at your local Menards lumberyard! Watch out - X-Games here I come!
Well - I could go on and on and apparently the snow is going to...
So have you accepted Jesus into your heart? Do you know that you are going to Heaven? Have you by faith accepted his sacrifice so you canenter into the kingdom of God? If you are not sure and would like to, all you have to do is pray this prayer. You don't have to join a church or clean up to come to God. Let His love flow into your life!

MORE SNOW!
Wow - I have not been very good at updating this. Maybe perhaps it is because I spend all my free time SHOVELING SNOW!!!!!!!
I have had 1 to 2 hour Snow Shovel GPP sessions the last 3 days! Lots of core and posterior chain work!
But as the old coach says - what you do today will be easier tomorrow.
I just hope I don't have to shovel tomorrow. :)
Tonight - I will take a break and have dinner at the Texas Roadhouse and see "Stomp"!

Iowa weather
So I have had a gap in my blog...it and it is because of the weather! 2 days ago it was almost 60! Too nice to consider sitting behind the computer at all after doing all day at work! Yesterday - Blizzard! Yep. If you don't like the weather in Iowa - wait a day and it will be different. With windchills at -30 degrees yesterday and this morning - the 15 degree temp when I got off work felt great - I didn't even zip my coat!
Tomorrow - perhaps I will post more, but Wednesday night I have church! Have you accepted Jesus, yet? Best thing you will ever do!

On a cold snow covered Saturday in Iowa, I thought I would post a picture of the hurdles I mentioned yesterday - taken on a warm summer evening. Look here for more information on how to use hurdles in your physical development.
I believe I will end each blog this way - have you accepted Jesus into your heart? Do you know that you are going to Heaven? Have you by faith accepted his sacrifice so you canenter into the kingdom of God? If you are not sure and would like to, all you have to do is pray this prayer. An introduction
Since this is my 1st blog ever, I will start off with an introduction:
In grade school and high school I was a “husky” kid, not the jock who was gifted with abilities. But I had one thing – desire! I practiced and played all sorts of sports, I cannot remember many days which I wasn’t playing some sport after school. Rain or shine, snow or heat, it didn’t matter – I was out playing. When I went to college, I missed the practices I had every day through high school and began to get into “lifting weights”. I sustained an injury during the summer prior to my freshman year of college that ended my baseball career and with that started my career in coaching others. I had surgery on my left shoulder to repair a shoulder separation in the fall of 1991 and that kicked off my interest in the human body and its performance. I attended the University of Iowa and studied Exercise Science, during that time I worked as a personal trainer at a local gym. When I graduated in 1996 I was sought out by many in the area to be their trainer. I worked as trainer, a gym manager, then a fitness director and finally a business owner. Then an equipment manufacturer hired me to help “develop” new equipment, but in reality they had me sell machines I didn’t believe in. That was it; I was done with the fitness business. I didn’t want clients who just wanted to say they trained with me (and not put forth any work to get results) and I didn’t want to write phony testimonials for equipment that I didn’t believe in. I moved onto fixing machines, another one of my passions.
That was all prior to me meeting John Davies; Coach D reignited my passion for helping others and making their life better. Over the past 6 years I have trained myself Renegade style and have attempted to learn all I can about the Renegade system of training. Now, I still work full-time fixing machines, but am striving towards owning my own training studio. I am a Certified Renegade Trainer and I am ready to guide as many people as possible to fulfill their dreams, whether that dream is to be more active so they can enjoy their children or grandchildren or if they want to become a professional athlete!
In addition to my return to training clients, I am now beginning a line of equipment designed to be used in the Renegade System of training. A new hurdle design is ready to sell and several other pieces are in development.
To expound a bit more about me on topics other than training, I am a Blood washed child of the living God. Born again, through faith in the risen Jesus Christ. I am what the Bible says I am and I can do what the Bible says I can do! I plan on talking about the things of God a lot on this blog - to share the Good News! I am married to an amazing woman who I thank the Lord for everyday and we have 2 sons. I most likely will speak of them much as well. We are all very active in our church -Spirit of Faith Family Church.
Last thing - I love toys! I was a Star Wars action figure collector and customizer prior to the birth of our boys - but now this year marks the 25th anniversary of the GI Joe - A New American Hero line so I after a few years of just buying them toys - I now am getting my own toys as well.
